The Harston and Newton Primary School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) is excited to announce that the Harston and Newton fireworks night will be taking place on 8 November 2025 at Harston Recreation Ground with gates opening at 5pm and the display at 7pm.
This new event is going to be a great community occasion and fundraiser for the school.
The PTFA is looking for volunteer marshalls to help with:
Perimeter safety – keeping spectators behind barriers and out of restricted areas
Traffic control – assisting with parking and ensuring clear emergency routes
Entry and exit – guiding visitors safely as they arrive and leave
Information point – helping with general questions and lost property
Full instructions and a short safety briefing will be provided before the event, and all marshalls will be given hi-vis vests, radios (where needed), whistles and refreshments on the night.
