Traffic: Park and Ride awaiting planning, no date set yet.

Foxton consultation: Finished but no results yet.

Melbourn Greenways is third on the list, will wait to see if going ahead.

Cambridge South Station Consultation: No key issues for Harston.

Air quality: Brian and Peter spoke to the consultants who are supposed to be doing the monitoring to find out what’s happening. The consultants wrote back asking for suggestions of where to place the monitors.

Action: Pete and Brian to email back and CC in the Parish Council asking the consultants to speak to PC on this issue.

Buses: Mayor’s bus franchise review won’t report until 2021 so it is likely that any issues we raise will be ignored until this is complete. However we should compile a list of the key issues facing Harston and our lack of bus service.

Action: Tim to help compile a list of issues.

Verge parking: Tim has noticed this is increasingly happening across the village with vans parking on the cycle path. He has been photographing the culprits and spoke to County Council who said it is a police matter. Police however say there are no rules against parking on the A10. Tim has written to Niall asking for double yellow lines around the war memorial. More bollards would also be an option.

Action: Gaynor to invite PCSO James Lynch to come to our next meeting to discuss.

Repairs on bollards and lamp posts down on the A10. Many have been left broken.

Action: Everyone to report any broken bollards and lamp posts on the County Council portal.

Greater Cambridge Local Plan meeting 18th Feb. Same day as our next meeting. Considered changing our meeting but decided not to. Tony Mendham will attend GCLP meeting and report back.

Vujon: Proposals to knock down existing building and replace with 9 dwellings of 2, 3 and 4 beds with access on London Road. Alarms bells ringing as they said the houses would be ‘contemporary’!

Action: Joy to email developer to ask that they consider keeping the historic frontage using the examples of Neptune and developments in Shelford which have been in keeping with village surrounds.

Pemberton Arms: Planning officers have said the design is unacceptable and have recommended they pull it. PC comments on the development have not been added to the application.

Carefield Mobile Homes: At least 2 caravans have been added illegally on green belt but police will not enforce until their appeal has been heard.

Action: Claire to email round the details should people wish to object.

Village gates: PC are going to discuss the idea.

Litter pick: 15th March.

Action: Dom to chase PC giving us insurance cover in writing.

Event: Suggestion for VE day event or picnic in the park.

Action: This will be moved to top of agenda for next meeting so we have time to discuss/plan.

Next meeting: Tuesday 18th February 2020 8pm
