TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORT
Air pollution: S Cambs monitors opposite the shop; on Station Rd corner and outside village hall. Results show air quality within acceptable bounds.
EWR: No new information, or date for statutory consultation. Brian Williamson will circulate his recent questions and responses from EWR (attached)
Terry Gardener stressed the importance of getting measures such as weight and speed restrictions on our roads in place now, as has already been done in Haslingfield, in advance of construction – including traffic calming and 20 mph on Church Street.
Cycleway and footpaths: No progress on Melbourn Greenway (not expected until 2025) or footpath to Newton
COMMUNICATIONS
Website progress Fabio has worked with Hilary to get Neighbourhood Planning information on website and this will be an important resource during the village consultation period. Thanks to Fabio and Hlary for their work on this. Fabio will look into creating link to current website and updating the newsletter archive; uploading minutes; and updating announcement of meetings

NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
The draft of the Plan is being finalised. A summary booklet (16-18 pages) with a feedback form will be distributed to all residents, who will be able to access the full plan and policy documents from the website . The consultation (with residents and statutory bodies) is planned for 22 April – 11 June. Results will be analysed over the following two months and the plan amended before a referendum which requires 50% approval of the plan.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Work planned around the bus stop last Saturday of this month. Bubs planted previously are now coming up. Work has continued on the Memorial Green though here have been problems with some of the plants.
PLANNING DEVELOPMENTS
Hilary commented on the refusal of planning for Centenary Works. New plans submitted for a shop on Pemberton Arms site
LIAISON WITH THE PARISH COUNCIL
No member of the PC was present, but Hilary has been in regular contact with Dom and Jessica about the neighbourhood Plan
THE FUTURE OF HRG
We will continue to discuss this as the neighbourhood planning process comes to completion. Hilary commented on the importance of HRG as a sounding board and as a voice for residents, and in initiating community projects.
AOB
No action has been taken to mend the collapsed drains on the A10 and the broken fence alongside the ditch on the A10. Irene will follow up with Anglian Water the problems of flooding/ drainage which are affecting Button End and other parts of the village including the Green and Lawrance Lea – Hilary to supply background information.
