Please join us to make Harston’s green spaces tidier, more beautiful and wildlife-friendly. We plant bulbs and hedges, create wildflower areas, and tidy overgrowth. We often meet on Saturdays, or sometimes mid-week, depending on availability and what gardening needs there are.

Some of our previous work:

December 2025: planting bulbs near the signs at the northern entrance to the village. Donation of 2 further cherry blossom trees (another to be planted opposite the Old English).

November 2025: clearing the war memorial in preparation for Remembrance day.

February 2025: clearing the war memorial, clearing nettles near the bus stop and adding pansies.

September 2024: adding pansies and clearing the war memorial.


February 2024: clearing away fallen trees by the bus stop and clearing vegetation on the corner of Church Street and Haslingfield Road.




2020: an area of scrub was cleared at the north end of the village, bulbs were planted, and native hedging was planted next. Pictures below are before (in 2020) & now (2024) showing the daffodils and beautiful wildflower meadow !
